Eurodomination - Knockout Cups 2009 |

 Four knockout cups are planned this Spring from Monday 4th May onwards!!
On Monday 4th May up until Tuesday 5th May, there will be two cups. Both will be single elimination knockout and will consist of between 8 and 16 teams. Matches are played at 20:00 and 21:00 GMT.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Search & Destroy - PAM4)

On Monday 11th May up until Tuesday 12th May, there will also be two cups. Both will be single elimination knckout and will consist of between 8 and 16 teams. Matches are played at 20:00 and 21:00 GMT.

The Number of Teams
- Allocation of teams to any competition is first come first served.
- Active Euro Domination teams get priority allocation.
- If a team signups for two competitions that are running at the same time, then an admin will remove them from one or the other.
- In the event of less than 8 signups then the competition will be cancelled.
- In the event of exactly 8 signups then the competition will feature 3 rounds (Quarter Final, Semi Final and the Final)
- In the event of between 9 and 16 signups then the competition will feature 4 rounds (Qualifying Round, Quarter Final, Semi Final and the Final). Note that some teams will have to play 4 rounds, others 3. This will be decided by a random draw.
- In the event of exactly 16 signups then the competition will feature 4 rounds (Last 16, Quarter Final, Semi Final and the Final).
- In the event of more than 16 signups then the competition will feature 4 rounds (Last 16, Quarter Final, Semi Final and the Final). Some teams will unfortunately have to miss out.
Qualification and Signup for the Cups
- All teams on the Euro Domination website with at least 6 registered players (all with registered and confirmed appropriate PB GUIDs) may sign up for the event.
- You can find the "Signup" for the cup on the Competition Management page.
- Signups are open right now.
- Signups will close at 15:00 GMT on Sunday 3rd May.
- There is no official close date for signing up for the cups, however the earlier you sign up the better chance your team has of competing in the chosen cup.
- In the case off too many signups clans that are currently active in Euro Domination will have priority. The allocations of teams to positions in the cups are of a first come, first serve basis. If there is still room once all the active teams have been allocated a spot, then new/inactive teams that have signed up will be allocated a spot - again on a first come, first served basis.
- Teams are exepected to be available to play at 20:00 GMT and 21:00 GMT on the dates specified for the competition in question. DON'T signup if your team is unable to meet these demands. If a clan does not show up to any of the scheduled matches then the clan will be disqualified from any future cups.
The Maps
In the Call of Duty: World at War competition the following maps are to be played:
- Kneedeep
- Nightfire
- Station
In the other competitions the most popular maps from the Open Ladder (in the last 90 days) will be used.
Match Servers
We strongly suggest that you have a match server available for the entirety of your clan's participation in the cup.
All servers must be running the latest Punkbuster Configs, Match Configs and the appropriate mod. All of the previous is available to download at our Download's Page.
Neutral [E-Dom] servers are available upon request.
If both teams in a certain fixture both have available servers, then the [E-Dom] team will choose which one will be played (unless both teams mutually agree otherwise).
[E-Dom] Neutral servers will be provided for each of the four finals.
The Rules
In this cup, the General and Call of Duty 2 specific/Call of Duty 4 specific/Call of Duty: World at War specific rules must be followed and obeyed.
Teams will knife/bash/bayonet for sides at the beginning of the match.
In the event of a draw one round of overtime will be played. Both teams will knife/bash/bayonet for sides.
Further Notes
GMT = Greenwich Mean Time. GMT is also known as UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). The current time (UTC) is displayed at the very bottom of each Euro Domination webpage.
We are looking for volunteers to help out with the draw for each of the competitions. The draw will take place at 19:00 GMT on Sunday 3rd May on the Euro Domination Teamspeak. To volunteer, please PM Danothebull.
